Here is a message we received just before Christmas.
‘You may recall we received a suspended £500,000 fine from The FA due to our inability to provide the full away ticket allocation for our fixture against Manchester United last season. This came after use of the upper tier for our visitors was unauthorised due to concerns over persistent standing.
To mitigate this, we found a temporary safe standing solution for away supporters in the Clock End Upper Tier that enables us to meet the full 15% away allocation requirement for FA Cup fixtures (should the visiting team request 9,000 tickets for their supporters).
Having progressed into the Carabao Cup Semi-Final, we will now implement this temporary solution at Emirates Stadium for our fixture against Chelsea on 3 February.
In this competition, visiting teams have the right to 10 per cent of the stadium allocation which means we will accommodate 2,000 supporters in our designated away end in the lower tier and 4,000 in the upper tier. This solution limits the impact on our Clock End season ticket holders.’
We have no official statement regarding next season. If we do, we’ll post it here.
