AISA recently took part in a meeting organised by Brent Council to discuss the Community Shield match with Manchester City on Sunday 6 August at Wembley Stadium. Representatives from Wembley Stadium, British Transport and Metropolitan Police forces and Manchester City were also, among others, in attendance.
Arsenal has put out a comprehensive briefing, so please look out for that on arsenal.com. The main items discussed were the zero tolerance for pyrotechnics and for ticket touting (buying or selling), a total prohibition on drinking in public and the request for all fans to adhere to general rules of good behaviour. Off licences in the area are prohibited from selling alcohol on the day of the match. The infringement of any of these could result in the confiscation of your match ticket prior to entry into the stadium.
Arsenal’s statement includes details of fan zones (Arsenal are in the East Village), allocated car parking areas and the pubs and bars that are within Arsenal’s allocated area. Advance booking of car parking and in pubs and bars is strongly encouraged.
Please note Wembley Central Station (London Overground and Bakerloo lines) is closed on Sunday.
