The art fair raised over £4000. Held at the newly reopened Drayton Park pub, and with art for sale, raffled and auctioned, it was a celebration of Arsenal artists and a chance for supporters from around the world to meet and chat. Well done GoonersvCancer for masterminding this unique event.
Northbanksy is a lifelong Arsenal supporter & North Londoner renowned for his distinctive, bold Arsenal-themed street art. These monochrome pieces celebrate players –and supporters– past & present, & can be seen across the London N4 & N5 areas. From small stencils to the huge new murals in “The Tunnel” on Hornsey Road, Northbanksy’s art seeks to “Arsenal-ise” & brighten up the local area around Emirates Stadium, making these streets “…our own.” Northbanksy also creates Arsenal-themed art for local businesses who commission & display large scale pieces as original, creative statements of support for our club. His art also honours supporters we have lost. Northbanksy has worked with the families & friends of Arsenal fans who’ve been victims of knife crime or fatal road accidents to create memorials–as well celebrating iconic supporters like Maria Petri & Dave “Goonerholic” Faber. Northbanksy’s original works are rarely available to the public to own, but this is one of those times!
