Farewell old friend: Mr Wenger’s farewell and the last Highbury derby
On 22 April 2018 with Arsene Wenger having announced that he was leaving Arsenal, “Match of the Day” on BBC TV featured our “Football should be an art” banner, in its opening sequences for the match against West Ham, which Arsenal won 4-1.
It was a huge sadness for those of us who felt that under his leadership Arsenal had consistently performed better than they would have done under any other manager, so before the normal anniversary video, here’s that video of our banner, one more time…
