NEWS FROM THE FANS’ FORUM

We were at the regular meeting of suppporters’ representatives last week.

A presentation about Arsenal In The Community led to a request for help. There’s a Premier League fund for community activities. Arsenal already organise many in and around the local area, including activities with schools and in the Arsenal Hub. But the Premier League’s Fans’ Fund is offering clubs to pitch for more cash for specific activities. We were asked if there is any particular activity that we, as supporters ,felt the club could be offering. We need to submit them in the next few days as the ckub then needs to submit proposals to the Premier League. If you know of a gap in provision of services/facilities that the club could bridge, using the Fans’ Fund, please message us here or on [email protected] and we’ll put your idea forward along with other ideas we at AISA have.

There will be news from the club shortly about the arrangements for cup ties tickets (FA Cup and Champions League knockout rounds – assuming we qualify). As you know, these are not included in current season tickets. The new process will be emailed to Members, and links to guides.

We were informed that the long-promised improved wifi in the stadium is still going to happen. Just the kit is taking longer to get installed.

We understand that there will be another Food Bank collection in December, and news about that is imminent.

When we have full minutes of what was discussed, we’ll put them here.

IT’S BEEN A QUIET FEW DAYS . . .

As often, the International breaks mean there’s very little news to offer. We had an exciting WSL match at the Emirates (see blog) but not much else.

The good thing about the breaks is it gives us a window for events. Finding days when we supporters are not likely to be off to a match is hard enough, booking guests is even harder. We have a few on a promise to join us, but they’re invariably booked as pundits somewhere, which makes the England weeks better targets to aim for, although quite a few people we’re asking then use those dates to grab a holiday!

But we do have some exciting plans in the pipeline, and you’ll be first to know by following this page. It just takes time!

In the meantime, if you have anybody you’d like to see/hear from, let us know, by messaging us on [email protected]

NEW EVENT – DATE CHANGE – NOW OCTOBER 12

We are pleased to say we have an exciting event planned for Wednesday October 12. It’s changed from the day before as one of our guests suddenly couldn’t make it. We hope you can make the new date. If you’ve already registered, we’ll carry over your registration (though if you can’t, please let us know).

Adrian Clarke (from the Handbrake Off podcast, the voice and face of Arsenal’s matchday ‘Breakdown’ and ex-Arsenal youth player) will be joined by Roy Massey (ex-Arsenal youth team coach). We’re hoping for at least one extra guest. We hope also we’ll have some other unique offers

It’ll be at the Gunners pub (Blackstock Road) at 7.30pm. As a full member, we’ll be pleased to welcome you with a drink from the bar. There’s also food available on site (see menu below).

You’ll be able to ask Roy about Jack Wilshere and why he let Harry Kane get away! While Adrian can talk about being an Arsenal youth and not making it into the first team, and give us his insights on the season so far.

If you’re interested, please send us an email to put your name on the guest list.
